The annual Salone del Mobile in Milan has become much more than just a furniture fair. It is an essential reference for the world of design, encompassing not only furniture, but also architecture, fashion or graphic design. In its 58th exhibition last April, the fair consolidated itself as a pioneering creative platform, bringing together more than 1.300 creators, design enthusiasts and the latest in innovative projects.
At Grupo Lamadrid we have also been present thanks to two of our clients: CasaDesús with our Masalis fabric and Bivaq the Portofino collection for outdoor furniture.

Objets Nomades, Louis Vuitton collection
Since its launch in 2012, the Louis Vuitton Nomades Objets have become a collection of forty-five limited-edition objects inspired by the journey and imagined by some of the world’s most renowned designers: Barber & Osgerby, the Campana brothers, André Fu, Damien Langlois-Meurinne, Nendo, Gwenaël Nicolas, Raw Edges, Patricia Urquiola, Marcel Wanders, India Mahdavi and Tokujin Yoshioka. In the 2019 edition they presented a new collaboration with Atelier Biagetti and Zanellato / Bortotto at the Palazzo Serbelloni in Milan, filled with innovative shapes, meshes and block colors inspired by the Mandala.
Basquets of LOEWE
LOEWE recruited a team of 10 artisans from around the world to present Baskets, a display of basketry, hand-quilting and calligraphy, giving voice to traditional weaving techniques and to the craftsman who keep them alive today. Loewe has challenged them to work on a new material, leather. These craft masters have produced a series of exclusive art objects for the exhibition. In addition, the main Spanish artisans have been commissioned to create a collection of handbags, accessories and ornaments for the home.
Life in Vogue
The offices of Vogue Italia have worked with a group of eight designers and architects to transform the interior installations of the offices of the magazine into a visual gallery. Modernity, minimalism and ambient lighting were the main characters of the intervention.
JW Anderson painted the fashion editor’s room in a vibrant yellow tone typical of British manor houses
Storage Associati decorated the Current Affairs office with elegant, ribbed walls and gold and reflective surfaces
Alex Proba used bold patterns and pastel tones to create a more playful interior for the rest room
Pierre Marie created a blue and yellow glass panel for the window of the talent room
Echo, by Pezo von Ellrichsausen
The Chilean architectural firm Pezo von Ellrichshausen has created an intervention in the Palazzo Litta that sought synergy between the Milan classic and the contemporaneity of its installation, Echo. The pavilion is located in the center of the palace courtyard. It is aligned exactly with the windows, columns and other details of the building, but also with the patterns of paving in the ground below. The result is spectacular.
Jil Sander headquarters by Linda Tegg
A large living installation of wild plants collected from abandoned sites in the Milan area. This is the point of support of the project conceived by the artist Linda Tegg together with Lucie and Luke Meier to present the first of a new series of collections by Jil Sander at its headquarters in Milan. The project is accompanied by a lighting installation designed for the occasion by Nic Burnham of NDYLight. At the end of the exhibition, some of the plants will return to their original environment, while others will be returned to their original environment.
